Dcn. Christopher B. Etheridge, IVE
The son of Doug & Patty Etheridge, Dcn. Christopher was born in Fairhope, AL on October 22, 1987. He began to seriously discern his vocation while still in high school thanks to the guidance of his local youth director and his experience doing mission work with the Archdiocese of Mobile. He later entered religious life with the Institute of the Incarnate Word after completing his freshman year at the University of Alabama.
After ordination Dcn. Christopher will celebrate his First Mass on the Feast of Corpus Christi at St. John Baptist de la Salle Parish in Chillum, MD and on the following Sunday at his home parish of St. Lawrence in Fairhope, AL.
Dcn. Timothy Joseph-Peter van Zee, IVE
Timothy Joseph-Peter van Zee, the son of Christopher and Vicky van Zee, was born on December 21st, 1984 in Fontana, California. He began to seriously discern his vocation to the priesthood while attending the University of Redlands in California thanks to the guidance of the Chaplain of the Newman Center on campus. He later entered religious life with the Institute of the Incarnate Word after completing his studies at the University of Redlands.
He will celebrate his First Mass back home on June 5th, 2016 at San Secondo d'Asti Church in Guasti, California.
Dcn. Eddie Mullins, IVE
Born in Cork City, Ireland, Eddie is the son of the late Joan & Tom Mullins. He joined the Institute of the Incarnate Word because he clearly saw it as God's will and because some friends who used to be in diocesan seminary with him also joined.
Dcn. Eddie's First Mass will be held at St. Mary's Dominican Church in Cork City, Ireland on June 6th, 2016 on the first anniversary of his brother's death.
Dcn. James Byrne, IVE
Born in rural Co. Kildare, Irelandson, Jim is the son of the late Lawrence & Margaret Byrne. Dcn Byrne joined the Institute of the Incarnate Word due to the insistence of his friend Deacon Eddie. As the only order that he could find accepting elderly vocations, Jim, a carpenter and construction worker by trade, insists that anyone who may be older or come from a background like his give the IVE a look.
He will celebrate his First Mass in St. Patrick's Church, Johnstown Bridge, Ireland.

Br. Mariano Ruiz, IVE
Mariano Ruiz is the son of Julio Cesar Ruiz & María Isabel Iraeta. Mariano was born in the city of Corrientes in the Northeastern region of Argentina on June 7, 1985. He began to discern his vocation while still in college thanks to the Catholic environment found at home, the example of his grandparents and parents, and the exemplar priests who he encountered in Argentina and at his arrival in United States. He entered religious life with the Institute of the Incarnate Word after completing his studies at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama where he actively participated in the Catholic Student Center.
Br. Willian Valle, IVE
The son of Luz Pacheco and Tereso Valleborn, Willian was born in Zompopo, Texistepeque, Santa Ana, El Salvador. He joined the Institute of the Incarnate Word because he could see God's call and saw the spiritual necessity of it despite his "spiritual insufficiency".
Br. Manuel Palma, IVE
Born in Santa Catarina, Jutiapa, Guatemala, Manuel is the son of Victor Manuel Palma Palma. He joined the Institute of the Incarnate Word because he cherished the familial atmosphere, and also because he was inspired to be a missionary after having attended a vocational retreat at the behest of Archbishop Lori.
